The Laymyo (Laymro) River is the second longest, but most used, in Kachin State (Arakan). It's source is in the northern part of the Arakan Roma mountains in Chin State, it is 167km long. It joins the Kaladan River east of Sittwee before emptying into the Bay of Bengal. The girl is carrying water up a steep riverbank using a water carrier typical of the type used in the region.
