More information:

This is on the road to Umm Qasr in north-east Kuwait, American soldiers plug their ears as one of them is about to fire an Iraqi RPG-7 into the desert. They have just discovered a truck, loaded with various weapons abandoned by the fleeing Iraqi Army almost four weeks earlier. The roads north of Kuwait City were strewn with bombed and abandoned vehicles and their contents as the Iraqi Army was attacked by coalition aircraft. Crates of weapons and ammunition were a common sight. After Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait in August 1990, coalition forces were quick to send their armies to both defend Saudi Arabia and to successfully oust the Iraqi forces by the end of February 1991.
