Forts appointmentas a member of the CountyBoard of Taxation. GovernorsWilson and Fielder respectivelyreappointed him in 1911 and in 1914. He also held the office of MonmouthCounty Collector for a year. Besides the other state distinctions con-ferred upon him, he was made by Gov. Fort a member of the commission toascertam the cost of land needed to build the mland waterways, and waschosen its Chairman. Mr. Herbert is also a Director of the Farmers and Merchants NationalBank of Matawan and Director of several corporations. He is a member of.
