Portsmouth, England. 27th July, 2017. - US Carrier Visit - The USS George H W Bush, an American Nimitz class aircraft carrier and one of the largest of its type in the world, arrived in the Solent today to embark Royal Navy personnel. The carrier, seen here anchored in Stokes Bay, is scheduled to start the final part of Operation Inherent Resolve, a two week training exercise for Global Coalition forces against ISIS. Two Type 23 frigates HMS Iron Duke and Westminster with RFA Wave Ruler will join the exercise.
