Cw 6411 DR 98932 departs Wigan Springs Branch 2.10.18 Network rail MPV no DR 98932 leaves the Wigan Spring Branch maintenance depot Tuesday afternoon the 2.10.18. DR 98932 is paired with her sister unit DR 98982 and the pair are setting off at 16.40 hrs to join the north bound West Coast Main Line on a overnight railhead treatment trip visiting various lines in the Manchester area before arriving in Crewe at about 04.20 hrs next morning. The train will be spraying a high power jet of water at the top of the rails to remove the build up of fallen leaves and applying an adhesion paste to reduce wheel adhesion problems for the trains and rail industry at this time of the year. The newly laid track is in connection with the depot being made ready to stable and maintain new trains for Northern.
