A mother dog has taken the role of nursing two Siberian tiger cubs at the Hangzhou Safari Park in east Chinas Zhejiang province after the mother tiger began showing signs of neglect towards her babies. The two Siberian tiger sisters were born on November 10 at the sanctuary, but breeders feared that their health was in danger after observing the mothers lack of nurture towards the cubs. The dog, named Xiaowang, appeared nervous and scared when she first began nursing the tigers, but eventually her maternal instincts overrode her anxieties and breeders said that she was very at ease caring for the cubs, according to reports.
