Moria Gate Arch in the Oparara Basin is a spectacular limestone arch some 19 metres high and 43 wide. It is reached by a fun decent into a cave mouth.

Moria Arch is a limestone arch in the Oparara Basin near Karamea on the west coast of South Island New Zealand.The park is well managed and paths to visit the features in the area are very well sign posted. They pass through native rain forest and make for an interesting hike. The arch itself is 19 metres high and 43 metres wide. It is frequently visited by LOrd of the Rings fans and fanatics. The waters of the rivers and streams of the area are stained brown with tannin.
