“Molly Leigh, Molly Leigh, Chase me around the apple tree” Molly Leigh (1685-1748) the Witch of Burslem was buried at the parish church of St John the Baptist, Burslem. Molly lived at Jackfield Potbank with her pet raven. After her death she was buried at St John’s. Her tomb points a different direction to all the other graves there. It’s alleged her pet raven was captured and then buried with her.
