The Visions in Motion art installation was initiated by American artist Patrick Shearn to mark the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall at the Brandenburg Gate in central Berlin. People were invited to write their messages, wishes and hopes on 30, 000 ribbons that make up a giant flag suspended across Strasse des 17. Juni.
