Mesembriantemo is a succulent plant loved for its splendid and rich flowering, it is easy to grow both in pots and in our gardens, in rocky and coastal ones. Its flowers have the simple shape of daisies but take on various hues going from pink to red, and then also white, yellow and orange. The name Mesembriantemo derives from the Greek "mesembria" which means flower that opens at midday. During the day they do not give off a very pleasant fragrance, but at night they acquire a pleasant fragrance. As dawn approaches, the corollas of these species are losing their scent and when the day comes their petals are odorless
