May 12, 2011 - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - FILE - MICHAEL BAZE (April 14, 1987 - May 10, 2011) was an American Thoroughbred horse racing jockey. Baze's body was found inside his Cadillac Escalade in the stable area of Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, an apparent suicide. He was scheduled for a court appearance today on a cocaine charge. Baze was arrested for drunk driving in 2009. Baze won 918 races from 6,968 mounts and had purse earnings of US32,462,209. This year, 2011, he was 34 for 238 starts with earnings of US1,191,297. He last rode at Keenenland on April 29, 2011.
