Weyman Bennett at the Stand Up To Racism rally at Downing St calling for Theresa May's racist 2014 Immigration Act to be repealed and an immediate end to the deportation and detention of Commonwealth citizens, with those already deported to be bought back to the UK. There should be an end to the 'hostile environment' for all immigrants. Speakers also condemned the blocking by the government with a late three line whip and the last-minute withdrawal of MPs pairing arrangements to ensure information about the Windrush scandal was kept secret in a way that threatens the normal working of Parliament. At the end of the rally the protesters marched to the Home Office for a further rally outside. Peter Marshall/Alamy Live News
