The Worshipful Company of Woolmen’s annual Sheep Drive this year opened by TV personality and author Alan Titchmarsh MBE (pictured) who drives a flock of 30 sheep across London Bridge as part of a centuries-old tradition. Joined by Freemen of the City of London, the tradition sees the exercised "right" to herd the animals into the ancient heart of the capital. Freemen were historically allowed to bring livestock and tools into the City without paying tax. The stunt is expected to raise tens of thousands of pounds for charity and raise awareness of agricultural issues. London, UK.
