London, England, United Kingdom. One of the iconic Tower Bridge's two towers as seen through the southern Southwark entry portal leading to the bridge. Clearly, the most famous and recognizable of all London's bridges, it crosses the Thames at the Tower of London, connecting the Tower Hamlets on the north with the borough of Southwark. The landmark, combined bascule and suspension bridge was built between 1886 and 1894 when it was opened.
