A double-deckerr bus crosses the Westminster Bridge over the River Thames. Westminster Bridge links Westminster on the west side and Lambeth on the east. The Thames winds through Central London during its 215 mile journey to the North Sea. It is the longest river in England, flowing entirely through the country. The current Lambeth Bridge opened in 1932, and is the second Westminster Bridge, with the original opening in 1862.
