Langholm, UK. 25th July, 2025. Carrying the emblems of the Common Riding, a parade makes their way through the streets during the towns common riding on July 25, 2025 in Langholm, Scotland. A common riding is an equestrian tradition that mainly takes place in the Scottish Borders in Scotland where men and women ride out of the town and along its borders to commemorate the practices from the 13th and 15th centuries when there were frequent raids on the Anglo-Scottish border known as the Border Reivers. In Langholm this event dates back to 1759. ( Credit: Rob Gray/Alamy Live News
