King George V (1865-1936) with Queen Mary (Mary of Teck) (1867-1953), about 1929. The King had developed chronic obstructive pulmonary disease by the mid-1920s. In this fine three-wheel wheelchair, he was resting a the seaside resort, Bognor. Text on this photo card says, "Kodak, Ltd will devote the whole of the profits derived from the sales of these postcards to King Edward's Hospital Fund for London."
