The Galleria San Federico is a covered commercial area inaugurated in 1933 in the historic centre of Turin. The roof is characterized by an elliptical barrel vault, surmounted by domes in correspondence with the three entrances and the large central dome overlooking the entrance staircase of the Cinema Lux. Designed by architect Eugenio Corte and engineer Giovanni Canova, it was inaugurated in 1934 as Cinema Rex, was renamed Dux (Duce) in fascist time and finally assumed the current name Lux in 1945.
