Corser, — There is an unwritten romance, ofwhich I am the present custodian, pertaining to the lives oftwo of our family, in days following the birth of our nation.It is in my thought, so tender and sacred a glimpse of a mostpathetic tragedy, that I have hesitated to make public the oldmanuscripts, which, in October, 1864, after the death of mygrandmother, Mrs. Judith Burbank Corser, came into mypossession. She had at her death been for nearly sixty yearsthe custodian of the sad story.
