Of the other varieties the quality averages fair, and Melody, Killarney, White Killamey, My Maryland, Eadiance, Sunburst, Jardine and Mrs. Aaron Ward, as well as Mrs. Taft, can be had in good con- dition and of all lengths. In view of the still rather large supply, prices have been held down considerably, even though the quality as a rule would justify a slight advance. Short open roses, of which there are many, bring little money.
