Every once in a while some of the growers ask us "why it is that w^e so often use big concerns' houses in our Ads, and so sel- dom give the smaller man consideration? " The question is a fair one, so let us answ^er it frankly. It is not for a minute because we do not put as high a value on the so-called smaller customer, because our books show plainly enough that the bulk of our business each year is made up of the moderate size houses. Our reason for showing and talking so much about the bigger layouts is because every man who is starting small, or still has not much of a range, is alw^ays plan- ning in his mind to some day have big houses and a large range. So we figure that he is, therefore, more in- terested in what the big fellows are doing than what a grower of about his size is up to. What do you say—are we, or are we not right? In the case of the Dale Estate, theirs is particularly interesting because they used to build short-lived houses of another con- struction. Each year they always bought at least a carload of materials just for re- pair work. Finally both the figure facts and their hard-headed business sense proved the economy of putting their money in our iron frame houses and having them repair- free and a permanent investment. It wasn't a case of whether or not they could afford to have our houses, but that they couldn't afford not to. When you are ready to talk building, no matter how small or large, you say when and w^here and w^e'll be there. |op4>& Btinihamfi Builders of Greenhouses and Conservatories Elastem Factory irvington, N.
