S. It is vBsafe to use Paris green or other poison on lettuce even when the plants are small. These or similar worms cause some trouble early each season for a good many growers. Usually, if the pests are carefully hand-picked off each plant, and all moths and butterflies are killed when- ever seen inside the house, the worms that are left do not do much damage.
