If the present situation as to bulbous stock were taken as a criterion, an observer would immediately say that the demand for these flowers is on the wane in this market. Various Notes. The Cincinnati Florists' Society held its regular meeting at the rooms in the Flower market. Only routine business was transacted. This meeting was the thirty-seventh consecutive one for Alex. Ostendarp, the thirty-fifth for Charles H. Hoffmeister and the thirty-fourth for Otto H. Hoffmeister since they became members of the society. The other reg- ulars there included Max Rudolph, A. C. Heckman, Jr., James Allen and Henry Schwarz. C. E. Critchell reports having booked a large number of advance orders for valley, orchids and red carnations for Valentine's day. E, G. Gillett's wire working force is being kept so busj* by the inrush of orders that they can hardly keep up with the call. Frank & Son's consignments of rcsfs to L. H. Kyrk are, after a fortnight of small shipments, again getting back to; their normal size, as other houses have come on
