The Market. Business for the month of August has been exceptionally good. The nutner- ous military weddings have contributed toward a better summer business. Stock of all kinds, except carnations, is in good supply. Asters and gladioli are in their prime now, and are the best sellers, other garden flowers being about over with. A few Easter and rubrum lilies may be had. Eussell and Ophelia roses are the most popular for sum- mer use. Sweet peas have been fair since the cooler weather set in, but they will not last much longer. Various Notes. Henry Smith's store has been a rather busy place for summer.
