"My goal as a wildlife photographer is to connect people with animals. I’m driven to show them another side they may never see otherwise, while building awareness of how important animals are for our own survival. Spending more time with animals than I do in my own home, it's becoming more and more apparent how our actions are affecting wildlife and this planet. It's time to save what is left before it's too late."
Harry Collins is an award-winning wildlife photographer based out of Pennsylvania, US. He started his journey into wildlife photography after a family trip to Alaska in 2007, combined with a lifelong passion for animals. Harry conducts wildlife and nature photography workshops throughout North America and Costa Rica. He’s currently working on several conservation projects to help save animals that are rapidly declining due to over-hunting and loss of habitat from development. His work has been published both online and in print by National Geographic, BBC Wildlife, Birds & Blooms, Wild Planet Photo Magazine, Bird Watching Magazine and more.www.harrycollinsphoto.com

"'If two of us know the same thing, one of us is irrelevant.' This is a quote that not only my photography but all aspects of my creative process are based on. It is from an interview with Tom Waits which truly takes the ‘think outside the box’ idea to a much higher level. To me it just means chart your own creative course and never follow."
Steve Jobs famously said, “You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards”. Ironically Hacob Khodaverdian’s photography career started a long time ago in the 70s when he was eight years old, working at his uncle’s photo studio sweeping the floor and cleaning the darkroom. It was around that same time that he took his very first color photo of his younger brother with a cheap plastic camera. Decades later, he took photo classes at a community college only to learn how to use a 35mm camera which he had just acquired. Then came Art Center College and 20 years of working as a commercial photographer. These were the photographic dots that connected looking back at Hacob’s career.www.hacob.com

"Surround yourself with what inspires you, and fills you up creatively. For me, shooting photos is like a form of meditation. To create fills me up. I find it balances and renews my spirit, and nourishes my soul."
