Thesign is supportedat the side of thetrack by a bracketed pole which rises about 8 ft. above theground. The interior has a 16-cp, no-volt incandescent lampwired in pipe conduit and supplied with alternating currentfrom the regular shop circuit. At night these signs saveboth time and accelerating current, because the motormanknows just where the switches are located and can run orcoast up to them without unnecessary use of current. Thecircuits are turned on aud cut off by the yard watchman..
