Your responsibilities involve (not limited to) the following –

  • Building robust, scalable and performant automated test suites, performing thorough testing activities, and sharing your findings and recommendations with all members of your team
  • Assist the team in troubleshooting issues that may arise during testing phase, offering appropriate recommendations and implementations
  • Being the domain expert within your squad, with a high-level understanding of other products/services across the business, and the QA tools and technologies used by other squads
  • Contributing your expertise and experience to help drive continual improvement in the delivery processes of your squad, in order to ensure consistent delivery of value to the business
  • Working with other technologists, using your knowledge and experience to keep abreast of the latest trends in technology and software development, and work within the group to help evaluate and promote technologies that help us to continue to improve as a company

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Comprehensive experience of using one or more test automation tools such as Selenium Webdriver, Cypress, Cucumber, RestAssured etc
  • Proficient in performance tools such as JMeter
  • Experience in Bug tracking and reporting tools like Jira/Bugzilla
  • Good in Object-Oriented and/or Functional programming principles, development standards, practices and patterns, along with a thorough understanding of software architecture
  • Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Thorough understanding of distributed systems, web technologies/protocols, API principles (e.g. REST, Web Sockets) and end to end performance
  • Working knowledge of cloud providers (AWS/GCP) and microservices
  • Strong understanding of Relational (e.g. SQL Server) and NoSQL (e.g. DynamoDB) databases
  • Excellent communication skills, being able to confidently articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences (including senior managers), and lead discussions both within and outside of the Technology space
  • Strong understanding of the principles of Agile working patterns and frameworks (e.g. Scrum/Kanban)
  • Able to confidently apply practices and principals across multiple business areas
  • A passion and desire for leading, learning, technology and delivering quality products
