It is rare to find a new fruit whicli has created the interest and enthusiam accorded the announcement of the New Devoe Pear. Fruit growers who saw the fruit last fall and winter were loud in praise of its qualities and expressed the need for a pear of this type. The Devoe Pear was found some 24 years ago on the farm of Mr. Charles Greiner. Marlboro, N. Y., as a chance seedling.
