Bernburg, Germany. 16th Jan, 2019. A conveyor belt leads from the conveyor of the "European Salt Company" (Esco) to another building in which the salt is further processed. The company produces salt in the Salzlandkreis from a depth of 700 metres. The salt was deposited there 250 million years ago when a sea evaporated there.
