Berlin, Tiergarten. The HKW {Haus der Kulturen der Welt) next to the Spree River. Venue for concerts, exhibitions, conferences, theatre and dance. It was a gift from the USA and was designed in 1957 by American architect , Hugh Stubbins. Berliners often refer to iit as the 'pregnant Oyster' (Schwangere Auster).
