The strike coincides with the meeting of the Climate Cabinet of the German Government and on September 23rd, countries will meet in New York For the UN Climate Summit. A year ago Greta Thunberg stood alone outside the Swedish Parliament and called on global governments to take action on the climate crisis. Her solo strike initiated the ‘Fridays for Future’ movement. Millions of schoolchildren worldwide have been striking on Fridays by not attending school.
