25.08.2016, Bender, Transnistria, Moldova - Monument of the so-called Luegenbaron Muenchhausen at the fortress Bender. This was the starting point and the return point of the cannon ball. Baron Muenchhausen (1720-1797) actually existed. Transnistria is a repulsive Moldovan republic under Russian influence east of the river Dnister. The region split in 1990 from Moldova and is and is not recognized by any other country. Even the Russia-dependent structures are known as the Transdnestrovian Moldavian Republic (Pridnestrovkaja Moldavskaja Respublika / PMR). 00A160825D388CAROEX.JPG
