Aug. 8, 1962 - Los Angeles, CA, USA - Major League Baseball center fielder, who played for the New York Yankees, JOE DIMAGGIO (second from the right, next to him - his son JOE DIMAGGIO JR), Monroe's former husband and still good friend at Marylin Monroes funeral at the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. He was the one who claimed her body and planned her funeral. He excluded all he deemed morally responsible for her death. Marilyn Monroe was found nude, dead in the bedroom of her Brentwood, California home clutching her telephone by her live-in housekeeper Mrs. Eunice Murray on August 5, 1962. She was 36 years old.
