The flo-wers, -while not large, remain boldly expanded, and in their profusion hide the plants for months. The seed may be sown outside in -«-ell prepared ground early in May; to facilitate sowing the seed may be mixed with s^ind or dry soil; scatter the mixture and just press in the ground. Thin the seedlings to 8 to 12 inches apart. It is an advantage to sow the seed early in boxes in the house or hotbed for window boxes, baskets and also for bedding out.
