Also known as the City Pillar, Viharn Luang is a shrine situated in the grounds of Wat Chedi Luang. Banners, or tung, are found in Buddhist temples in northern and north-eastern Thailand. Made from various materials, including cloth and metal, they are used as offerings both inside and outside temples. The ones shown in the photo are decorated with the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac.
