Aylesbury Vale, Buckinghamshire, UK. 17th November, 2020. The HS2 site at Jones Hill Wood is very active with HS2 workers at the moment. The Woodland Trust have issued a press release asking for an immediate pause on work at the wood to said that they have “grave concerns” that ancient woodland due for imminent destruction by HS2 Ltd might be felled without proper survey work to identify bat roosts, and without the proper licences required by law.
