Hollyrood Abbey was built by King David I, The Saint, of Scotland in 1123. Although added to over the centuries the medieval architecture remains poignant and inspiring. Hand-carved capitals top delicate columns along the north aisle. Below ancient memorial pavers salute worshiper and leaders from long ago.
