Apr. 04, 2012 - Geese Guard Whisky: 40 million gallon of Scotch whisky is a great fire hazard, which is why George Ballantine, the Dumbarton, Scotland, distillery firm have been using 100 snow white Chinese geese as an alarm system, in case of fire or intruders. At the slightest disturbance the geese get all of a flutter, thus enabling the two human caretakers to radio for further help.
