Apr. 04, 1981 - GENERAL OMAR BRADLEY DIES AT 88. U.S. ARMY GENERAL OMAR BRADLEY, who commanded over a million allied troops in Europe during the 2nd World war, died in New York last night during a visit with his wife Kitty to the exclusive 21 club, Bradley was the last American Five-star General, and was Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. forces which leaded in Normandy on D-Day.
