Generally, tworolls of hats are kept in operation, one roll being acted upon while the positions of the hats in the other are being changed. Fig. 2299 represents a machine of this class. Two beaters act upon the ends of the hat-roll.Four cubical pressers are provided, so arranged that the hat-roll is pressed at each quarter revolutionof the pressers.
