An elephant sprays itself with water amid a herd in Kaudulla National Park, Sri Lanka, as egrets fly across the plain. Established in 2002, the park is linked to neighbouring Minneriya National Park by a wildlife corridor. Hundreds of wild elephants gather at the Kaudulla tank during the dry season between August and October.
