A wonderful scenery along the Duku Highway, which is praised as the most beautiful highway, northwest China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, 13 June 2020. Duku Highway seems like a dragon lying in Tianshan Mountain linking between roads in south and north Xinjiang and many areas inhabited by ethnic minorities. Its connection has reduced the distance between South Xinjiang and North Xinjiang by nearly half from the previous over 1, 000 kilometers, making it a milestone in the history of China's highway construction. To build the highway, tens of thousands of officers and soldiers made all-out efforts over a period of nine years, and 128 of them lost their lives during construction. *** Local Caption *** fachaoshi
