A view through a nearby arch of the Library of Celsus, a tomb for the Roman governor of the province of Asia. Built in 117 A.D. it is one of the most beautiful and most photographed structures in Ephesus. An ancient Greek city on the Ionian coast, dating to the 10th century BC, Ephesus was a religious, cultural and commercial center noted for its temples and architecture. Its ruins are now a favorite international tourist attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 5th Nov, 2004. Credit: Arnold Drapkin/ZUMA Wire/Alamy Live News
