A 58-ton, 36-foot-tall column was the last to be removed from Ground Zero after the destruction of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. It once supported the inner core of the South Tower. Covered with mementos and inscriptions, it is now on the lowest floor of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in Lower Manhattan. Aug. 22, 2018
