More information:

Derrick Cave is a 1200' long lava tube in the Devils Garden Lava Field in the Oregon Outback.  Its age is roughly around 50, 000 years old (?).  This was just inside from the main entrance where several skylights rise 30' above the sandy floors down below, emitting rays of light giving an ethereal effect.  Green bacteria can be seen growing alongside the cave walls.  The last skylight is a thin slit in the ceiling & a bit hard to capture amidst such a dark place.  Having the right filter next time might solve that issue.  Here one can peer further into the cavern as it opens into a massive hallway at least 60 feet in height.  This section is rather picturesque in my opinion, even far within one can see the distant glow of daylight.
