1950s, historical, rail passengers at St Pancras railway station sit on benches reading newspapers while awaiting their trains, London, England, UK. As can be seen in distance, it was very much still the era of steam, which can be seen arising from the platforms. The station was built by Midland Railway as their own central London terminus and opened in 1868, with its famous single-structure roof or trainshed designed by William Henry Barlow.
