07.06.2018, Wunstdorf, Lower Saxony, an Airbus A400M "Atlas" in flight, taken on spotterday on Air Transport Wing 62. The Airbus A400M has been replacing transport aircraft from seven NATO countries since 2013. In the German Air Force, the A400M is to replace the old Transall C-160 from the 1960s. With a higher payload, range and speed, the A400M should have the same capabilities and also be able to be used as a tanker aircraft. The first A400M was delivered to Germany at the end of 2014, the last of 53 pieces is to take place in 2026. | usage worldwide
