Description
|
Haybox cooker - (also called retained-heat cooking) is an old cooking method that can be used to conserve energy. The use of a haybox (or insulated cooker) can save between 20% and 80% of the energy normally needed to cook food. This photo shows a very basic example of a haybox cooker - (for a 'Transition Town' meeting in Dorchester, Dorset, England, UK). Inflation busting cooker... surely a must have for the modern household!... : ) |
