Xray of the spine shows severe degenerative changes in the lumbosacral spine. This patient has anterior projecting osteophytes and disc space narrowing and sclerosis. There are symmetrical syndesmotic osteophytes. There is degenerative fusion of L3 and L4. There are severe degenerative changes in the articular facets which are also projected anteriorly therefore narrowing the central canal. There is severe central canal stenosis at L4- L5 due to anterior and posterior compression central canal by the degenerative changes.
