Calligraphy by John Henshall (b.1913 d.1996 - father of the photographer of the same name) in red blue and black ink and gold on vellum 1962 Anonymous verse 'When the Wind' from Popular Rhymes by J C Halliwell. The rhyme reads: When the wind is in the north, the skillful fisher goes not forth, When the wind is in the east, 'tis neither good for man nor beast, When the wind is in the south, it blows the bait in the fishes mouth, But when the wind is in the west, then 'tis at the very best.
